Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
I am approaching this from an English law point of view, and from the perspective that few fedi instances are run by someone acting as "trader", for "consumers". But there may be instances which engage consumer protection law, and everything which comes with that. Both the conditions, and the obligations, are likely to vary by country / jurisdiction too.
